MVPvets will be presenting and sponsoring the luncheons in Boston, Seattle and NYC at the upcoming series of SVA Summits.  Full details for each Summit will be posted as more information becomes available.  If you are interested in attending one of the 4 scheduled Summits, click on an applicable “Apply” link below.

SVA Summits provide the tools, techniques, and tactics needed to run a successful and sustainable student organization while connecting fellow SVA Chapter Leaders to share best practices that empower student veterans and family members through building community and bridging the military-civilian divide.

Each SVA Summit includes a full day of training with SVA’s National Headquarters staff, as well as a networking reception with businesses, local community leaders, and SVA Alumni. By the end of the Summit, participants will have the knowledge, skills, and network needed to build, run, and sustain an effective student organization.

The SVA Summit curriculum includes:

  • Strategic planning and budgeting
  • Fundraising, events, and recruitment
  • Best practices for SVA Chapters
  • Professional development

Apply for 2019 SVA Summits:

  • Washington, DC: Late July 18-19 (Apply)
    Day One: 5:00pm-9:00pm; Day Two: 10:00am-6:30pm
  • Boston: August 2-3 (Apply)
    Day One: 5:00pm-9:00pm; Day Two: 10:00am-6:30pm
  • Seattle: August 9-10 (Apply)
    Day One: 5:00pm-9:00pm; Day Two: 10:00am-6:30pm
  • New York City: Late August – TBD (Apply)
    Day One: 5:00pm-9:00pm; Day Two: 10:00am-6:30pm

Student veterans are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Those accepted will then be able to choose which location to attend. There is no cost for registration, and meals during the event are provided, but attendees must cover their travel and lodging costs.
