The Mission of MVPvets...

…is to assist, and prepare, transitioning military veterans for meaningful employment in life science companies. With new health applications, and innovative consumer products being discovered and created daily, opportunities to support the science, technology, engineering, mathematics or business functions of life science organizations are vast. MVPvets brings Veterans, Mentors and Employers together, through job matching, one-on-one mentoring, online learning and on-the-ground career-building endeavors.

MVPvets started in 2012 on the east coast as a collaborative venture between Abiomed and AdvaMed, primarily serving medical device/technology companies. In subsequent years, MVPvets has expanded to embrace veterans across the nation, as well as all companies under the fast-growing and community-bettering designation associated with life sciences.


Abiomed is a pioneer and global leader in healthcare technology and innovation, with a mission of Recovering Hearts and Saving Lives. Abiomed is dedicated to finding ways to bring the most advanced and beneficial technology to patients and physicians. Abiomed has also been a critical part of helping MVPvets get up and running.

The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), is a trade association that leads the effort to advance medical technology in order to achieve healthier lives and healthier economies around the world. AdvaMed represents 80 percent of medical technology firms in the United States and acts as the common voice for companies producing medical devices, diagnostic products and health information systems.
